Sun burst driftwood mirror
Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. —Matthew 6:1

So here she is!!! We are so proud of the mirror! It's a labor of love, I'm truly amazed how an idea will come, then to see it come to fruition, it's so rewarding!! I must say that without John none of this would be possible, like I said before I dream up these ideas, and he makes it happen! Thanks John. Also a huge thanks to my friend Lynda who is an amazing, giving, friend, she is always willing to help. I called her this morning, the shots I was getting with my camera were pretty embarrassing, she runs over and within 15 minutes we have tons of awesome shots, thank you!

ReplyDeleteHi Shirley,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this sunburst and have been collecting wood for a while to make one myself. I was wondering how you attached the second layer of wood and also the smaller pieces. Did you glue them on or use nails, which would have to be longer of course than the lst layer of nails. Thanks for your inspiration and your help. God Bless You and Your Family.
Hello hope you get this?? I actually put the second layer on right over the first row of wood, just made them a little shorter, and all nails no glue, the little ones are tricky since their so close to the mirror. But just take your time and position the nail! Hope that helps??
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I will be trying this soon and will send you a picture. Again God Bless.
