Polka Dot lamp shade

The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all. —Psalm 103:19

Have I ever mentioned that John is an amazing cook? Well, he can be super creative in the kitchen. He's been spoiling lil John and I, one night is was a Chicken salad, with baby greens, balsamic  dressing, and goat cheese, The yummiest salad ever, we made him make it twice! Then a pesto chicken over brown rice, with stewed tomatoes!! Amazing
I've been on a quest to make a Polka Dot lamp shade for the girls room. Sounds easy right?? Well, I racked my brain, and decided to cut out felt circles and hot glue them onto the shade. But after searching the internet this A.M, I found a tutorial, where they used acrylic paint to make the dots. Ugh now I'm torn with the time I spent cutting the circles out!! I'm off to buy the shade, then I'll decide witch method to use???

Here are some fun shots I got from my parents
Claire, Chloe, Sadie, and Justice, my first cousin Sharon's kids, their having fun together!!

On a much more important note, John's Grandma, has been in the hospital please say a prayer for her, she is such a sweety, we love her. Shirley
P.S, I'll post pictures of the lamp shade tomorrow or later today I'm off to Washington in morning!!!

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven, Ecc. 3:1

So we found something to do, go to the fair!! The Del Mar Fair, we had a great time, I'm not as young as I feel, I told little John yeah lets ride them all!! After the first one I felt dizzy, lightheaded, I quickly changed my mind! But after some Coconut Water, a few almonds, I was ready for another ride. Poor Bubs the fair was filled with young people, his age, and here he was with his momma!! Oh well we made the most of it, and had many fun memories together, right off the bat, we hear "Hey Slee's," A sweet friend of Sage's who moved to this area last year came running up to us, small world!!

I tried to be tough for him, I went on may rides, that normally I wouldn't, my stomach turned about a million times yesterday, but hey I'm still here, my neck was a little sore this morning, Hahah
I knew this move was of God, after, much prayer, thought, that went into it. While at the fair I get a text from a cousin about another cousin of mine that had her baby girl 2 1/2 months early, and she was in a hospital in San Diego. I grew up with my cousin, I'm 10 years older, so I always babysat her, she was like a little sister. Her dad my uncle raised her, he passed away 16 years ago, she was his everything! So knowing his baby girl had a baby girl, just made my heart, happy, sad, all kinds of emotions, I know if he was here he would have been thrilled! So after the fair John, Johnny, Rachel, and buba all went to visit her. I told little John, that God had a reason for our move, and little tidbits would be revealed over time, yesterday was one of them. My cousin's sweet, feisty, little girl will be in the hospital for 2months, growing, we all were so thrilled with my cousin's positive attitude, she said she know's her baby will be just fine! I love you Res, and baby Harper, and we are here for you for anything!
After we went out to dinner at one of our favorite spots in Ocean Beach, Luke was there, so sweet.

 John looks thrilled
Luke will look right through me, but when he hears Uncle John's voice he locks eye's and smiles, even laughs!! So funny
Well, I'm off to babysit Luke, I can't wait. Missing my girls, they are having soo much fun in Washington, I get to see them Sunday!! Blessing's Shirley

Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Psalms 127:3

First off Chloe was a baby only 3 years ago, how did I forget how non-stop a baby's needs are??? So I babysat my adorable nephew yesterday, and loved every second of it! Can't say I wasn't wiped out, but I'll do it again anytime! Luke was resisting taking his nap, after I sang, rocked, and even jumped into a bath with him, finally he relaxed and was out for a few hours. He woke with nothing but smiles! He's so sweet, Uncle John helped me with him, we both talked about how we can't wait till he's running around here.
Luke had no choice but to help aunty with the laundry!!
Johnny and his baby, Jim said "Luke, the next iron chief"
Uncle is so great with Luke
House all to myself, soo quiet, I don't want to waist this time on the computer so I'm signing off, have a great day, I'm trying to think of something fun for Little John and I to do, in Sand Diego the list is endless,  that's a problem in itself, what to do??? God Bless today, Shirley

Girls road trip

By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life. Proverbs 22:4

After three days in the car my girls and parents made it to Washington! My folks are so fun to travel with, they take their time, enjoy the scenery, laugh, talk, as a little girl I remember many fun road trips. I wanted my girls to experience this with their grandparents. At first there were some doubts about if the girls could hang for three days in a car, but they proved us all wrong, my parents said they were soo excited, thrilled the whole trip, that it made them so happy to see the girls so happy! Thanks mom and dad, you are such great grandparents! Love you
Sadie, Sage, Papa
 Momma, and Coco
Saide and Chloe
My sis Rachel and two of my cousins, Sarah and Michelle, in Washington
My dad filled me in on all the trip details, if you know us, we want details, often time someone will start to tell their story, I stop them and say, No start from the very beginning! Ha, I like details! So my dad knowing this gave me a full run down of the trip. He was so thrilled with how social Sadie is, she informed any one that would listen, these were her grandparents, and sisters on a road trip, which towns they stopped in, where their destination was, how her parents miss her, back in San Diego. One morning my dad walked into a restaurant while grandma was already feeding the girls, when complete strangers said, "Oh you must me Papa?" So cute. I'm missing them a lot! We keep saying how lonely the house is without our lively girls!! Little John will bring me a toy, or shoe, and say, "Mom look!!" Ugh Sunday can't come soon enough! I get to babysit Luke tomorrow, can't wait!! Were are enjoying our time, i feel as if we have tried every single restaurant here!! Also John and I went on a 20 mile bike ride along the coast it was so fun! John kept saying how great he feels, living here has brought a certain joy, excitement back into our lives, we truly love the beach life!  Love you, Shirley

Mini House tour

Pray for those who spitefully use you. —Luke 6:28

OK here you go, for all of you who wanted to take a mini house tour, bear in mind we've only lived in this house for 14 days!! So still a few things I'd like to add. This is the front room
Still haven't had a new slip cover made, I will soon, too much yellow for this girl

Built in shelf's below staricase
Our view, out to the ocean, Yes those are vertical blinds, UGH, I really have a love/hate relationship, I HATE the way they look, but love them when the sun is blazing through..I'm going to put up heavy velvet drapes to cover them.

Bubu acting like thee only child while his sisters are away! John and I took him to dinner and a movie yesterday downtown SD, we laughed at how spoiled rotten he would be if he was the only!
The kitchen

We put the little girls kitchen under the stairs, that way all their toys are out of the way, but they can play when they want to
My aunties Becky's beautiful Arabian hourse's, a basket I made years ago
Sadie, and another basket I'm working on
Our front yard, we hang outside most meals, or a round of volleyball practice with Sage
I feel like the little girls room is one of the few rooms, almost completely done. I want to add a cool rug, and possibly some roman shades?
Does that lamp shade totally clash?? Any input is appreciated!

My dream is to have their closet completely organized, separating their toys into bins that are labeled.

Sage's room is pretty much the same as her last one, but twice as big, with her own bathroom as well!!

Our room, always the last one to get "done", our views are pretty amazing, we look out at the ocean.

Love our bathroom
Our walk in closet is huge. I need to get some organizers for my stuff, I also need a dresser.
Yep it's clear out so off to the beach we shall go! Today I'm hoping baby Luke and Johnny will join us??? We went and visited him yesterday, AWE, pure heaven, while my little girls are away, I need a baby fix, I held him for over an hour, he slept peacefully in aunties arms!
Luke and I, I know it always looks like I'm trying to nurse, or show cleavage but I'm not!!
Any interior advice??
