Style post hair/clothes

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. —Ezekiel 36:26
My blogger Buddy Leah Moss asked if I could do a style post apparently she thinks I have style!!
 So here is my attempt at it!

So before I get into clothes here are some before and afters of my client
 Block coloring is "in". I love doing it, the effects are so natural looking
Instead of placing the foils in the traditional way I choose where they should go, making a super natural look
 We tried a few different looks, barrel curls straight and a messy, (model) pony tail

 The messy pony
 Now for my attempt at fashion these are looks I love
I have many cozy throw sweaters, I love them all. Paired with a tank top and jeans you can't go wrong!
Even in high school I loved super girly, lacy tops! And paired with jeans, looks like you'r not trying but you are!
 Ohh how I've loved the slouchy, loose off the shoulder sweaters!! I feel super comfy all day
I used to wear a lot of dresses, I always feel beautiful in a dress. I'm aiming to wearing more, just looking for the right kind! (John hates loose dresses, he thinks they all look like maternity wear)
 I'd wear any one of these! Summer days over my bikini!! Wild hair, yes please
 Since I'm so short I like a crop jean, maybe I have that wrong to look taller, but I prefer them, also it saves me money on getting them hemmed!
You know when everything in your closet needs a little update? Just by adding a cool new jacket, or some cute tops, can spruce it up. It's just fun to look cute on the outside, but more importantly is what's in the inside that really counts!! Hope you enjoyed, Shirley

All Better!

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5

Poor Chloe this was the scene around here yesterday. Chloe kept John and I awake literally the whole night, with a high fever, and growing pains! We both took turns massaging her feet and hands. Finally I had enough and took her downstairs for a bowl of cereal and a cartoon to get her mind off of her struggles! So I took the day off from daily chores and just held my baby, awe I loved it.
 The day went by slow, which is unusual I feel like I wake then rush through the day till bed. But God slowed it all down. The house was so quiet, still, then John went to get the kids from school, I loved watching them come through the door one by one, all with great concern for their baby sister. Sadie cuudled, babied, her, she begged me to stay home today to care for Chloe but thank God my baby slept all night, and is a new little girl this morning!!!

I didn't blog yesterday so just to catch up on the weekend, we had a nice chill weekend, did I just use the word chill?? John and Sage influence!
Bub's and his friends playing Apples to Apples in the garage.
Sage loves to take the camera and who knows what I'll find
Oh yeah I took the kids to breakfast downtown Saturday, the Farmers Market was near so we stocked up on produce!
Sunday after church the house was showing so we took the little girls to the mall. I was on the hunt for some new jeans and a few cute dresses, daddy kindly took the girls to the Hello Kitty Store! Bad mistake, they swindled him into all kinds of junk!!!! Not if momma was there!

I love the scripture there may be tears in the night but joy comes in the morning, that's how it feels here! Praise God, Shirley

They shall be fresh and flourishing. —Psalm 92:14

Oh loving these warm days! The kids and I have been getting in the jacuzzi after school, and soaking in some rays. These warm days are getting me excited for summer!
Here are before and afters of one of my clients yesterday
 After, we did panel placement highlights

 Still filling up on veggies and fruit. Feels good to get this many nutrients in our bodies. I haven't been super strict, with veggies, fruit only, I'm addicted to Wheat-thins, It's a serious problem.
 Our old juicer of 10 years finally gave out, our sweet neighbor in Santa Barbara gave it to us, it served us well. So while at Costco Sunday John and I decided to get a new one, we were a little bummed to see so much plastic on it, our old one was made soo well all metal. But I must say we are soo happy with this Jack La Lanne Juicer!! The opening is so wide that we don't have to cut up anything any more we throw whole apples, huge carrots, cucumbers, it juices it all up!
Ok time to get the kids on task, house, lunches, then myself. God Bess today, Shirley

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. —Hebrews 4:16

I was inspired yesterday by my blogger friend Leah Moss's family quote
To live content with small means;
to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion;
to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich;
to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart;
to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never;
in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common this is my symphony.

I bought this canvas from Bed bath and beyond awhile ago,I've been wanting to make our own family rules, rules that we try as a family to live by. It's on my radar to make our family rules on a sheet of metal, once I gather the materials.

 I went on Pintrist and thought I'd share some quotes

And while I was there found this beautifully organized pantry that has nothing to do with quotes but thought I'd share anyway!

Our home has been showing alot!!! So I have to scram out of the house multiple times a day! This is getting super old real fast, so we put in an application for another house, it's everything we need in a home, but not the most ideal location, it's on a golf course, not a real kid friendly place, although big John is trying to convince me otherwise! But a few people are trying for the same house so we'll see if it's Gods will then so be it! Time to dial the house in, then squeeze in a fast run, Blessings Shirley

Birthday club

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3

So we had a master plan Julianna and I would sneak Kim away for lunch and a little shopping while back at home her husband Jake would be getting a surprise party ready! Kim had no idea. This is at our lunch we went to a super chic, cozy restaurant in Ventura
Baby T is officially part of our birthday club!
 Kim, Julianna, and I. We are on our second year of a tradition we hope to continue for a long time, we each get a fun filled day on our birthday, we all share in the day!
 After we took Kim to Patagonia Headquarters in Ventura to pick out a sweater she's been wanting!
 When we pulled up to her house she started getting suspicious, why is my dad's car here?? Then opened the door to "Surprise!!!"

 Goldie Kim's daughter is a character. She sat by me, trying her hardest to get me to hold her new kitten. No such luck I said just look at your hand and that should tell you why I wont hold your kitty!!!
 Julianna, Me, Michelle, Birthday girl, and Sherrie
Julianna is next wheels are already turning! Love you girls
Last night I called my parents, I love talking to them, they each get on the line. Last night my dad, and momma said a powerful prayer, I put it on speaker. John and I were laying in bed with the little girls, they fell asleep listening to Grandma, Papa praying such peace filled the room. Thanks, Love you all, Shirley

With all my resources I have provided for the temple of my God—gold for the gold work, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron and wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings, turquoise, stones of variouscolors, and all kinds of fine stone and marble—all of these in large quantities.1 Chronicles 29:2

Needing a lot of coffee this A.M, one bed wetting, incident, two bad dreams, ugh so tired! Praying for strength!
It's no secret I LOVE turquoise, it's been one of my favorite colors, jewelry since I was a little girl. I remember while going to school a boy told me, "Shirley I know why you wear Turquoise, because your Indian!" Sorry, wrong it's just because I love the texture, and color. I remember my first piece of turquoise I bought was in Yosemite, during Indian Days. A vender had this ring, I fell hard for, I begged my dad for $10. I still have that ring
Whenever I'm at a swap meet I look for loose stones, that I can string myself
Paired with white soo gorgeous

 I'll take one of these please!

 My friend gave me the link to this chandelier, I'm going to start one with driftwood and metal, with turquoise can't wait!
 We have this color the little girls love it
 The chandelier that inspired the shape of my Driftwood ones
Ohh lala, I adore aged turquoise anything!
 OK I've had my turquoise fill this morning, now on with my day, super crazy Tuesday here we come!! Forgot to mention John and I are doing a week of vegetables, and fruit, I'm throwing in boiled eggs, since I need my protein! But nothing else. Oh wait something else, I still eat my oatmeal in the morning. This is day three I feel great, it's soo good to give your body a break from meat, heavy carbs. Have a blessed day Shirley
