Life experiences

The Earth is the Lords, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Psalms 24:1

Life experiences.. Little John and Sage got to recently go to New York, John and I want them to broaden their horizons, learn about our world, not just our city limits. They met up with my cousin Jordon while there, he showed them around. Jordon is a free spirit, such a unique sweet heart. Thanks for letting your little cousins tag along, they really enjoyed spending time with you.
Sage and John in the concrete jungle. John loved the city, while Sage on the other hand enjoys nature, beach, freedom. After a few days she was ready to come home. Poor girl her feet were all bloody from blisters.

Carriage ride through Central Park
Dinner with Jordy
On the other hand my sisters and I spent time together, we took the little girls to downtown's new water park,

And thrift store shopping
Scored this dress that was made in Greece, $12, it's super cute, just looks crinkled cause I was sitting
And this dress, $14, Chloe was taking pictures of Sadie and I cooking a yummy chicken noodle soup, for bubba he got his wisdom teeth pulled, poor babes is in a lot of pain.
 Rachel Ray recipe
All the while the whole city was ablaze, thankfully we were out of harms way. Really a scary time for many, schools were evacuated, many homes lost. So grateful for the firefighters, and their tireless work to put the flames out.

This weekend John and I put on our address numbers on the new mail box….. Both pictures are the wrong address!!!! Poor John was rushing throughout the project and I was pre occupied in the backyard to notice. When I was called to take a look, I noticed the first time the numbers were wrong...
Then again was called to take a look, I thought he corrected them, so nice work honey back to my project….Then Little John comes home from the beach, and yells from outside hey wrong address dad!! So back out the third time to fix!!! Live and learn.
Ok time to muck out our room, permits are getting really close to being approved, FINALLY!! three months later its just crazy, how the "third" person we hired is dragging his feet, lesson learned better to do things on your own! Alright love you, Shirley

Mothers Day

Love suffers long, and is kind. 1 Corth. 13:4
All I ever wanted growing up was to be a mommy, I wanted a house full of kids, a great husband who would provide, and God gave me the desires of my heart. I'm truly blessed.
The reason I wanted a life like this is because of this women here, my momma. She mothered so selflessly, so effortlessly, always putting her children first. Mom you have always been my inspiration, thank you.
My beautiful Sis-n-law, who is now a mother to two! She's doing it so full heartily giving her all to them.

Baby Esther such a beauty. Cousins love holding her, kissing her sweet head, nothing like the wonder of a new born.
Grandma holding Esther for the first time
 Papa, Johnny, baby

We went to a early Mother Day dinner, love spending time with the family, wish Jim was with us.
Yesterday John and I took the kids to downtown San Diego, but first stopped at aunties salon so Chloe could get a "real" haircut in a salon! She loved every minute
 Sage so gorgeous
These two keep me on my toes, they dress themselves and this is how they came out of their room this AM
Gosh as time goes I'm looking more and more like my momma
Jenn's and I love her so much
OK time to get with the house, today is my deep cleaning day. Lots to get done, take fritz on a jog, put my taxi hat on and start the daily pickups. Hope you all had a wonderful Mothers day, mine was great we went to the city ate a great lunch then went to the movies to see Moms Night Out. It's a faith based movie, we liked it. Shirley

New patio furniture

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. —Proverbs 4:23

For ever and I mean forever, I've been wanting a nice comfortable outdoor seating set. So for the last oh year, I've been daily checking Craigslist, for a deal, finally I was able to snatch a great new set, from a outdoor living store that was closing. Craigslist people are ruthless, you have to be thee first one to make a offer, and get your butt there, or else sorry sold! So I begged the guy to keep the set for me, he was getting many other offers. He kept it and John and I made two separate trips to get it all. Why on the front deck you ask??? Cause Fritz would tear it to shreds! The puppy stage can't get over quick enough for us.
These were the pillows that came with it, horrible I know, dated the whole set!
So Off to Joann's I went, so many great Sun umbrella out door fabric to choose from, it was a toss up between these
I ultimately choose these two, I stayed up last night till 1A.M. sewing, having the house to myself while everyone was sleeping, felt wonderful!
Love the way it instantly modernized the look. Never mind the ugly blue paint and rotting deck once our permits are approved it will all be replaced, white new stucco. Oh can't wait!!
Big sis Sage made these "Nerd Cookies" with the little girls this afternoon, while I took my twice annual  much needed nap!
Nerd seems to be these two's MO this week. They had me take them to the mall for a pair of suspenders
Some progress on the front of the house re-model, STILL WAITING for the city permits to build! Man it's been revised thee times, hoping that the 3rd time is a charm!  But in the mean time we had these beautiful retaining walls built. In this area in the front yard we will do a fire pit, and some seating dirt is going to be paved

Our mail box got a big upgrade
Side yard, slowly but surly things are getting done around here
Wow Thank you God for the beautiful teaser of summer this last weekend. We enjoyed the beach two days in a row and loved every second!
