Back to normal

The genuineness of your faith [is] much more precious than gold. —1 Peter 1:7
Happy to say I'm feeling almost 100%, it amazes me how horrible I felt to this, normal! All within 24 hours. I'm thankful for any prayers that were said for me.Yesterday morning, I was on it, packing lunches, making kids get their chores done, organizing the day! John comes out of his office and say's welcome back mommy! I used to joke to my friends that I liked getting the flu, so I could take the day off! I no longer will say that, because I'll take feeling healthy, happy, over sick and miserable any day.
We've got football fever over here today, Little John's first game is today and we can't wait! Win or loose doesn't even matter, just seeing our son out there, giving something his all, is winning for us! I was able to walk Sadie into class yesterday, she melts my heart she is soo confident, happy, she's not concerned with what people think of her, she walks in like she owns the place. I want to be more like her....
Girls begged me to make bean bags with them, have to say it was a super easy, fun project
 coco filling it with coffee/rice
Still want to attempt to make upholstered, tufted, head boards for the little girls room
Had to say Mitt's speech last night was pretty awesome! Big kids watched it with us, I love for them to witness history in the making, so exciting! Don't know about you but I'm ready for "Change"!!! Alright time to get workout done, blessing's today, Shirley

School

I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. —John 6:35
School year 2012-2013
Sadie 1st grade/ John 10th/ Sage 8th
It's official today the oldest went back to school, we've been planning, talking, organizing, all for this special day, then low and behold last night around 12:A.M, I noticed some body ache's, ohh no!! Within an hour fever/chills, I'm so bummed, I cried this morning watching John walk Sadie into class, I so wanted to do that! I've been down all morning, with the flu, hoping it's 24 hour, and life will return to normal real quick!
Gosh is that my Weezy with Coco, he's grown into a young man right before my eye's
Sadie getting ready for school this morning, organizing her backpack, Coco looking on, I thought yet again she would be bummed to stay home with momma, but she was fine, I think she may be coming down with the flu too:(
Thank God daddy took the camera, when he came back I quickly went through them.
Sadie quickly made friends, when we picked her up today she ran to the car soo excited, "momma I love my new school, I made three really close friends and four kinda close friends!", Oh really what were their names, "I don't know!!!" The big kids loved their day as well, I smiled ear to ear, that's all I wanted was for them to have a great day, and feel comfortable in their new environment
Ok time to go back to bed, my legs are aching sooo bad, everything hurts, even down to my fingertips! Prayers are appreciated! I had a completely sleepless night, as I laid there I prayed for people who are going through cancer treatments, I can handle 24 hours of the flu, but people who are fighting daily, my heart goes out to them. It's tough to be joyous, or inspired when you are going through physical pain, but every time, my heart opens wider for those who are suffering. God bless, Shirley
P.S, I need to thank the worlds best husband, he has cooked, cleaned, played with Coco, picked up/dropped off, I couldn't be sick without him, man makes me wonder what in the world people do without that type of support....

Warranty's!!

Whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. —Luke 9:24
Good morning, Trying to squeeze the last lazy summer days, not wanting those hectic rushed mornings, that are right around the corner!! Big kids are still sleeping little girls are begging for eggs, bacon, toast! Sadie made a menu, Chloe's going up stairs to wake the big kids up! I love summer time, no schedules, fun beach day's, relaxing! Wednesday it's back to reality.....
Sadie begged to set the table for dinner last night
Coco wanted in on the action
A mothers work is never done! I felt like half of my summer was spent right here in the kitchen
After dinner we took the kids to the park for football, and volleyball
Some how, my phone always ends up with John or Sadie!
Then big sister made a chocolate cake with the little girls, and very fitting after chocolate cake, we settled in for an episode of Biggest Loser !
Aunt Susan and I took the girls to a few consignment shops, where you bring in your old clothes and they give you either cash or store credit for your goods! We received $40, credit and Sage found some really cute things! Here's Sage and Kana at a bakery

OK soo the reason my title is called warranty's is John and I have learned the hard way that "they" really aren't trying to rip you off by offering a warranty at the end of a huge purchase! We now buy the best warranty we can, on everything! That being said the flash on my new Canon stopped raising, so off to Best Buy I went, they were going to package it up and ship it to Cannon, but wait, "how would I like a new upgraded model for free?????" Yes please!!! So now I have the Rebel T3i.
Time to get my workout done, the morning's of drinking coffee, playing with kids, till 11, are coming to a end:(( I want to start my day's early, get house clean, workout done before 9, once school starts,.
Blessings today, Love Shirley

Park day

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible. —Colossians 1:16

Hitting the book already! These two have been "playing school" for a couple of day's now. So cute to hear them, they take turns being the teacher.
Johnny and I took the little ones to the park yesterday. Awe Luke, he melts aunty's heart, he's finally recognizing us, it can be overwhelming, coming from his peaceful, quiet world, over to aunties, where cousins are jumping up to see him, loud noises everywhere. And a auntie smiling ear to ear, talking baby talk to him, he usually freaks out for the first couple minutes then settles down, and kinda enjoys all the action!
My two beauty's they love new adventures.
Seriously I can't imagine life without any of my kids, these two are best friends, I love to stand by their door and listen to them, such characters.
Luke, such a joy to our lives
 cousins
Best daddy in the world, Luke and Johny's bond is amazing, he loves his daddy so much, he's always cranking his head looking for daddy, when he spots him, huge smiles!
Last night was a no T.V, night as I often do in our house, so each big kid had a little girl, playing, tickling, chasing, John and I just sat back and watched, we are so wonderfully blessed.

On another note, I'm finally getting to the point of re-doing Little John's room, my wheels are turning, and I finally have a vision! I wanted a masculine leather club chair for his room, so yesterday while browsing Craigslist, I came across this chair, for $40!! I'm going to clean it and condition it.

I feel like there are a lot of people going through hard times lately, and I want you to know that God hears and understands those issues, all you have to do is ask him for his guidance, He is right there to help you in those dark moments. I feel like many of us, just give thanks for the good times, then when troubles come, we try to figure it out all on our own. Well I know that I can't do it on my own, I need Him more than ever during the hard times. Don't really know why I'm typing this, just felt the need, Love you, Shirley

Summer coming to a close

Your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. —Matthew 6:18
Well the 12-13 school year, is right around the corner! We have started school clothes shopping, the little girls are done, and big kids are almost done, just school supplies left! Phew, so many details to accomplish:
  • shoes,
  • under ware,
  • back-packs,
  • clothes,
  • socks, s
  • school supplies
  • school registration,

I have three different schools this year to get registered in, we finished Sage's registration this morning at 7:30 A.M, she was a little nervous, she wishes she was back"home" in Camarillo, with her buddies registering. Poor girl. I soo wish I could tag along the first day with John and Sage, go to every class, then eat lunch with them. I know its their journey to take, but I want to hold their hands! It doesn't get easier as you get older, I think just the opposite, it gets harder, trying to make new friends. But they are great kids, so nice, they shouldn't have a problem.
On another note, we had a fun dinner BBQ last night with our friends Brendan, Sarah, their two boys, so fun. John made ribs, everyone had bbq sauce dripping all over!  We played Taboo, many laughs, a few fights, and lots of competition!
The weather has been so hot, in the 80's, I know those of you with 90's, 100's, are like "really", but the humidity plus no A.C, has been brutal, we escape to the beach almost daily, the water is so warm, truly amazing, I'm loving this summer so far, it's been great! OK house, kid duties are calling, or should I say whining!!! Shirley
Check out the body boarder, she's getting braver, each time, she is practicing "paddling out" So cutie

Poor John

He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. —Isaiah 40:29

Poor John is all I can say! With three girls, who are into fashion, shopping can get crazy on our bank account! We are starting school shopping this week, my goal was to take one child at a time, get what they need, then drop that child off at home, pick up another. But, Sadie wanted to make little sister jealous and rub in her face, that yesterday was her day alone with momma, shopping. It backed fired and Chloe threw a pretty good tantrum, so she came with us! Then Sage wanted to tag along as well, wish you could have seen John's face as we went out the door, to shop, shear terror!
First store H&M, super cute affordable children's clothes. Sadie and Chloe are hilarious! The moment we walked in the music was blasting, and they both started to dance! Hands in the air, not caring who was watching! Sage and I looked at each other, and smiled.
On the car ride over, Sadie out of the blue says, "Mom I don't want to ever have a baby," Why I asked, "Well it's just to much work," she said. I went on to tell her what a blessing children are, and yes in the begging it's a lot of work but nothing is more rewarding, Sage jumped in telling her how fun it is to dress a little girl up, Sadie wasn't buying any of it! She rolled her eye's and in closing she said, "nope I 'm going to live with momma, forever, we will be best friends and do everything together!" Sage tried her hardest, and said, "who will take care of you, when your old and mom is in heaven?" She said, "you and your kids will!" Chloe was totally agreeing with her sister the whole time, yep I'm not having kids, and I'm going to live with momma always too! These girls crack me up
Yesterday a dear friend who I grew up with came to visit, she lives very close by, I haven't seen her since high school! She has matured into a beautiful, wise, caring mother. Hope to see more of her! Have a great day, I'm going to wash both car's, do my nails, run, clean house, then take Sage to the doctor. After all that, and about two iced coffee's, it's bubu's turn for a little retail therapy! No sisters in tow!! Blessings Shirley

Bye Rach

So that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. —Acts 20:24

Loved having you here Rach! We miss you already, the girls didn't like waking up without you here:( They miss their Barbie buddy, story reader, snack maker! I miss my laundry folder, friend, sister come back super soon!!
We got to visit Resse and Harper, the girls finally got to see her, they fell in love with her! Chloe asked, "mom can we keep her?" She's like a dolly...
Girls jumping up, smiling,  Harper we love you
 Momma and baby
Then our baby came over to visit us, Luke. We fussed over him all day poor baby was exhausted after his visit.
Guess who lost her first tooth! Sadie! We were in StarBucks ordering when she looked at me panicked, I got worried, "what  happen Sadie?" She looked pale, then smiled, her tooth got wrapped around her hair, she then yanked her hair out of her mouth, and her tooth popped out! This was such a relief for both of us, since she's not the bravest girl, she actually has been dreading her tooth falling out, super anxious, scared that it would hurt! So she was super excited that there was no pain, just some blood, which she got queazy over. But soon enough she was jumping up and down so excited telling perfect strangers, I lost my first tooth!!!
OK time to get moving I took Rachel to the airport at 5 so super sluggish this morning! Love ya, Shirley

Chloe's 4th

I spread out my hands to You; my soul longs for You like a thirsty land. —Psalm 143:6

Guess who's 4 today!! Chloe
I can't believe it, my baby, 4 years old, where did the time go? I feel like I treat her like she's still 2. She will be my last baby, kinda sad, how fast time has flown
Her first present from Grandma Cindy and Papa John, a cupcake making set, and apron, she loved it as you can tell from her pictures,
 Checking out her cake
 Chloe and I
 Sadie testing the frosting

We had a family dinner, my side and John's were both here. And guest of honor baby Luke! Rachel's second time seeing him, she fell in love with him all over again. WE kinda fought over who he liked best, but I think Luke loves both his aunties! He did melt with Rachel, and he still cry's when I smile at him, but I can get him to sleep. And one day he'll stop being scared of me, and know how much I love him1
 Sisters
I love seeing John and Sage being so attentive towards their little sisters.
 Yes candy
I wanted to snap this pictures for my Grandma, and momma, and aunt Becky, three of the Uhler Boys. On the left Aunt Ellen, Rachel(sis-n-law) Kurt (uncle) Sage and John, my brother Johnny, Me, Rachel(sister) Uncle Ted, aunt Kristen, and Uncle Mark. They all live in San Diego, it was a thrill to have them all at our home, we love them all, they are so smart, funny, positive, such amazing uncles.
John's aunt Susan, the back of Kari's head, (John's first cousin), and her beautiful daughter Kona, son Kelen, can't tell you how happy I am to live close to family! WE went wayyy to long without family close by.

Aunties fighting over our baby
Poor Luke always surrounded by girls vying for his attention
Rachel and Johnny and baby Luke
Hope you enjoyed, Chloe is still in Birthday mode, today is her actual birthday, she is a light to us, a precocious little angle, sent to John and I, she slept with us last night and held both our hands, telling us she loves us so much. Well Chloe we feel the same way, always love, laugh, live life to the fullest, we will always be here supporting you,  Love Momma
