Good soil

“Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them, Math.13

I try to remember the 100 funny, genius, things my kids say throughout the day, but of course when I sit to type it's all forgotten!! Hate that:((I do remember one thing, I was reading to Sadie and Coco about the planting of God's word on the soil, some seed fell by the way side, and the birds ate it up, then some was planted in the stony place, where the roots were not deep, and some fell among the thorns and were choked. Then the other fell into the good ground, and brought forth much fruit!!  It's funny sometimes when I read my mind wonders, and I'm not even thinking of what I'm reading, well this was that time, then Sadie stands up and says loud and proud "mom I'm like the good soil!" This caught my attention, and made me feel bad that I was not more engaged, but proud at the same time that she was listening and learning!
We had a great evening last night after months of our jacuzzi not working, it finally got fixed yesterday! So after dinner we all jumped in, and soaked for an hour, felt so great, John and the two big kids jumped into the freezing pool. Then a family movie, called Mr. Poppers Penguins, highly recommended!
Eggs, Olive Oil, Parmesan cheese, chicken breasts, bread crumbs, bake for 30 minutes.
Then dessert find the recipe for these yummy treats here mybakingaddiction.
Sadie and I making them soooo wonderful the kids said mom this is your new dessert, please make it all the time!!

Alright time to get with the house then Sadie's class helpers Coco and I! God bless Shirley

Making memories

Blessed be the . . . God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. —2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Saying good bye to my folks is never easy even though they live 41/2 hours away, i miss them the moment they drive away!
Yummy platter I set out for our Bible study
Sadie girl after school, debriefing her
So daddy got back from Canada, and we are making it a point to spend tons of family time on the weekend, and trying new things. We went to the Ventura Harbor and rented two paddle boats. The weather was perfect the water like glass, the kids enjoyed it, as did we. Once a year the Pirate Ships pull into harbor, where they demonstrate life way back when, with cannon fights, dancing. Really fun
Sadie and Coco learing about old tools, we had to pull them away....
Bubs was a little nervous with his sisters so close to the water, he was running after them
 Me and my kiddies
 Getting instructions
Daddy volunteered to take the girls on the carousel

I had to get this shot this is the one I would have chose, shocked???
All our sugar baby has been talking about is cotton candy she finally got it! And savored every bite!
Another wish granted Sadie read in a book about a Banana Split, so her wish came true look at that face mesmerized!
 Sage enjoying her treat
Coco had a little too much sugar as you can see from the next picture!!

Bub's being silly it's soo hard to get him to be serious in a shot!
Beautiful way to end our weekend

horse inspired!

The Lord is my rock and my fortress. —Psalm 18:2

Little John has no school today, Sage was up most of the night with super sore teeth she had her braces tightened, and Sadie is just taking the day off!! I have all the kids home, I love when they can just relax, and not be rushed! Papa, and Grandma are still here, but I think they are going to go home today:((. I've loved having them here, it's always fun, grandma and I snuck out yesterday to get pedicures, then Pops and I took the girls to the park and just chilled in the sunshine. It was in the 80's yesterday, John called and said it was snowing in Canada, such different extremes. Mellow day today going on a run, then preparing for a mini Bible study here at my house.
So it's no secret I'm obsessed with Roberto Dutesco's pictures of the Horse's from Sable Island. My artist mother has been making my dreams come true by painting me my top three favorite's.

Short Post

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13

My visit with my aunt was blessed! She is so strong, peaceful, she's getting her strength back, it's amazing to hear her journey. Her faith in God has been there all along. Chloe and I spent the day with my parents, She had a blast, having her grandparents all to herself! I want to thank Bianca, and Lynda for helping with my girls. Thanks for being my backup, and know that I'll always be yours! On another note here is the latest picture of my baby, I mean my nephew, baby Luke, arriving in March!!! Can't wait!!
Short post today, don't know what we are going to do, might take them on a nice hike near the ocean, OK time to make lunches, clean my house, workout, enjoy the day the Lord has made!! Shirley

Surprise!! Pa,Pa, and Grandma

But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. Proverbs 1:33

I managed to keep my parents arrival a big surprise! They came in while I was finishing up a client. My Dad and Mom snuck into the hallway and said, "Hello Sadie, she was doing something at the table and turned around confused then laughed, and ran to them! And this picture sums it all up!
Grandma, were all crazy over her!
I tease the girls I'll grab my Dad or Mommas arm and say, "my Mom, or my Dad"!! They don't like this and will come running to fight me off of them!
Oh La La, Momma surprised me with yet another beautiful Roberto Duceto's Horse Paintings, this one is not close to being finished, she plans to work on it while she's here, yes I'm one blessed daughter.
 True Love
I get to break away from my daily duties today with my folks we are going to visit my aunt in LA, she is still recovering from her Bone Marrow transplant, I can't wait to see her, she is being healed each day. God Bless today Shirley

I'm back!

Love from a pure heart . . . and from sincere faith. —1 Timothy 1:5

Rain, Rain please DON'T go away!! Can't tell you how thankful I am of the rain yesterday, we so needed it. Bishop finally got snow, I told my kids that the Bishop kids got a snow day (no
school), they were ready to start packing! John is in Canada this week, so today my parents are coming to spend some time with the kids and I!! This time I'm keeping it a complete surprise :))
Pouring rain out, cozy fire, and of course ice cream!!
I walked into the kitchen the other day to this, I promise they aren't starving!
And some news on the home front, the house is for sale, so we are on the hunt for a new one! The house has been showing a lot! Which means we have to be out often, this isn't a bad thing, although some in the family may think so, but it gives us an opportunity to spend family time, the other evening we took a walk. We live right next to a river bottom, the trail runs about 2 miles. We love this area so much the friendships, the schools, so we are looking close to home.

The little girls rode their bikes, and had a blast most of the time a few hiccups along the way
Sage, John and Daddy all are super competitive so their was many races, and things like this!
Bubu with his baby, he's so patient, loving, kind to his little sisters, he needs to work on these traits with Sage!!
Totally didn't set this shot up, I was lagging behind trying out different settings on my camera, and looked up, thank you God for my family, I love them all so much.
Time to go, lunches, house, kids, workout, help in Sadies class, then a client, parents coming, kid pickups, dinner, piano lessons, BED!!! God bless, Shirley
