Pool days!

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:11

Us before bed
Good morning, I'm in awe of the beautiful days we've been having! Today looks like another one! I'm excited to see what the day will bring. The Ventura swap meet was fun, didn't find anything, I had to have, I did buy four $1, nail polishes! Just fun to look around, you never know what you may find.

Let summer began!

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. —Romans 8:25

We couldn't of asked for a better day! The sun was shining, the clouds were magnificent! John grilled steaks, corn, I made a salad, we swam with the kids. Really feels like summer has officially started!
A friend and her girls came over, later in the day, I started to string my clay beads, realizing that I didn't have enough, we ran to target to get more. Then on to Home-depot, and Michael's, for other project supplies. We completed the burlap, cork board for Sages room, we were so thrilled with how it turned out! After the girls leave for VBS John and I are meeting some friends at the Ventura Swap Meet, who knows what treasures we'll find? Good thing I've got John since my two friends have a great eye! It will be whoever sees it first, gets it!!!!
Cork board!!! Compare to Restoration Hardware theirs sells for $700!! Mine about $20!!!
Cork board from Michael's the roll also the tiles

VBS

Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. Psalms 116:7

Feels so good to be home. Yesterday was full of getting things back in order! Loads of laundry, a huge Costco run, John helped with the Costco run, so nice to have an extra set of hands! Washed the car, unpacked, cleaned the whole house! So now it feels like summer is here. Sage and Sadie started Vacation Bible school yesterday, Sage is one of the tween helpers. Sadie was soo excited to start, she was skipping to class!

Chloe stayed home with us, she was a little bummed that she couldn't go to "school" I'm thinking in the fall when the big kids go back to school, Chloe two days a week at pre-school? I have always kept all the kids home until kinder garden, but I think Chloe needs to play with others, also learn how to share! Well see?? Today I have many projects lined up, starting clay chandelier, painting girls bed frames, but first a workout, after all that travel, I need to sweat!! God bless today and everyday, Shirley

Home at last!!

The earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Palms 24:1

Home at last! It's been a whirlwind! First our Bishop trip, then home for one night, Santa Barbara, on to San Diego. We got home around 12a.m, all of us are pretty wiped out! I could and should have slept in this morning but Sage and Sadie start Vacation Bible Study at 8 this morning. Our San Diego trip was fun, we went for our friends vow-re-newal, it was blessed. Brendan and his wife Sarah are two of the sweetest people, who have two boys that are Irish cuties! After the renewal they had a reception at their home, they hired taco guys to come in, all the chicken, or beef taco's you could eat! John didn't like the tacos so he only had 8!! HaHa. We dropped Little John off at his friend's house, who recently moved to San Diego. He had so much fun, with 4 boys in their family he got a break from all of his sisters! They have such a gorgeous property, filled with animals, mature tree's, this got John and I thinking??? So Sunday we went looking at open houses! Were such suckers for homes, and property! Certain parts of San Diego you can get a lot for your money! But not to worry we are super happy here in Camarillo the kids are rooted for the first time, plus we've moved sooo many times.

Daddy bought me a new pair of shoes!
We stopped by John's Aunt's and Uncles house in Carlsbad, we got to visit with his grandma, cousin, so good to see them, wish we could more often!
Our Aunt Susan, and her cute dog, who's going to give birth to three puppies any minute!
These two are so funny, Sadie is such a wonderful big sister, she is so kind, loving to her baby sister.

Have a great day, Shirley

Allison Krauss in SB

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Palms 4:8
Santa Barbra was just magical! The day started out being super foggy, but by the time we got there the clouds parted! Perfect clear sky.... We went with our friends Lynda and Skip, their huge Allison Krauss fans. Lynda purchased the tickets the moment they went on sale, not knowing where our seats where? When we got there to our surprise they slapped green wrist bans on us, they weren't doing this for other people?!? We then were ushered right up front to the second row!!!! Front and center! God is soo good! After seats like that it scares you a little, "Will I ever be satisfied with any thing else???" Allison didn't disappoint, her voice is truly like an angle, so effortless!
So sorry she's sideways, I can't rotate her! But one of my favorites! Live at the Santa Barbra Bowl! Remember to mute my blog music, click twice! Enjoy

We hit State Street after for some ice cream! It was going off there! So many college kids, kinda made me re-think Little John going to USB!
Before the concert Sage and I snuck off to get Pedicures!
Now time to pack, (we just unpacked) on our way to Sand Diego, for our friends vow-renewal! Can't wait we are going to see my little brother Johnny and my sis-in law Rachel! Have a great day, Shirley
