The story of the horses!

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Flipping through a House Beautiful Magazine, while sipping tea I came across this picture of Roberto Dutesco's Wild Horses of Sable Island series. I tore out the page and put it in my scrap book right away! Hoping that one day I could own a gorgeous piece like that!
That was a few years ago! I finally got the courage to call his New York studio, to inquired about the photo. The receptionist knew right away which one, she said,"the title of the photo is Love." Perfect title since I've been so in "Love" with the photo for such a long time! I cut to the chase, how much for a copy that size???? Answer took my breath away, $75,000!!!! Bummer a little out of my price range! I called my momma right away telling her my dream had just been crushed! My mom is truly one of the most peaceful, loving women I know, she said,"don't worry honey, I have a present in mind for you."
For Christmas break, I wanted to surprise my parents by bringing the kids a day early to Bishop
This is what I seen on my moms art easel,
The original photo by Roberto Dutesco
I was beyond thrilled, I called my mom who was in Reno, Nv. I said, "Guess what I'm looking at right now?" She is truly amazing her talent is beyond!! Love you mommy I love my horsy's sooooo much, this is a gift I'll cherish all my days, then pass to my children.
The picture inspired me to paint the room gallery white in order to show it off!

Out door patio project

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Job 33:4

It's time to recover our patio furniture!! Their about 5 years old, John picked them out without me, so I've never liked them!! They finally started to rip, perfect......... So a trip to Joanns, a call to the upholster, hopefully by Saturday I'll have a "new" set!! The girls and I couldn't decide??
Finally we chose Zebra on one side and off white on the other!
Once done I'll post pictures of before and after. So excited!!!
While I was reading the girls bed time stories, Sadie said, "Mom I'm starting to think of monsters, so I can't sleep in my room." I could tell this wasn't true, since only moments before she was so giddy. I asked her if this was true?? She then admitted, "No I'm not thinking of monsters, I'm thinking of the real princess and prince who are going to get married tomorrow, tell us that story!"
Here's my real life princess's
Coco and Grandma Gretchen
Have a blessed day off to the garage, workout time, jump rope, weights, then treadmill!!!

Out with the old in with the new!

"But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." Psalms 1:2
So five seems to be the magic number in our house, once five you sleep in your own bed, in your own room! Sadie turned five on the 21st, she's been in a training bed, next to our bed. We've told her many times once you turn five you are going to sleep in your own room! Chloe (2) started sleeping in her crib around five months, but since daddy travels, they miss each other so the last four months she's been in our bed! It was time for both girls to start sleeping in their room. So yesterday I took down Chloe's crib, took the training (trundle) bed out of our room, back to their room. Happy to say they both slept all night in their Own Room!!! Praise God
Already on craigslist, any one want or need let me know!
They were so excited!
Coco wanted to sleep in her bed right away! She said,"Mom please get out I need to take my nap"!
My sweet girl Sage helped me organize their room, she was giving Sadie 5 seconds to decide wither to keep or give away certain toys! Thanks Sage
The girls having a play date
Chloe had her own photo shoot at the Easter party we went to, my friends brother is a photographer, he shot her for about 10 minutes. Yesterday I get a 16x20 surprise!!!! Thanks SO Much John C. Today my mission is to find the perfect frame!!

"Way of life"

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. Palms 91:15
I hate the word diet. When I do use the word, I mean, "What do you eat on a daily basis," not what new fad are you on? For me eating healthy, working out is a way of life, like showering, or brushing my teeth. Growing up my older sister was on track, I loved seeing her compete, to me she seemed so strong. I started running soon after, at first up and down our long drive way. Soon after my older brother and dad started lifting weights in the garage. This also intrigued me, so I started lifting light weights as well. My mom was more of a nature girl, it was torture for her to be stuck on a treadmill, she would rather take long hikes, or ride her bike on trails. My parents set such great examples for their five kids, mom grew a garden yearly, she canned veggies, fruit from her trees. My dad hunted deer, geese, rabbit, also fished. So that is what we were raised on. We never had soda, candy, chips in the house. All my cousins, friends thought we were the weird family, that never had any "good" food in our house! Little did they know that we had all the "good" food!!! So a big thanks to my mom and dad, I love you both, more than you'll ever know!
I juice as often as I can, (kids have to drink as well)

In the garage, where I get 1 hour of "me" time
Trying to instil healthy habits for our kids. (Day after this picture was taken I found out I was 13 weeks pregnant with Chloe)
My older brother and sister, on one of our many hikes!!
My little brother!!! I know, I know......

Date with my son

"Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart" Proverbs 27:11.
God is so good, Yesterday Lil John and I spent the day together. He asked me last week, if we could have a special day together. So sweet. I was only 17 when I had John, he has brought so much joy to my life, from the moment he was born, I gave God thanks, in my heart I knew this is why I was born. From the first time I held him I felt like I've known him my whole life! The love between a son and their mommy is so special.
We first ate lunch @Tacone (one of my favorite's)
Then to the movies we watched Soul Surfer (A must see) Little John surfs, the movie really touched both of us, so inspiring!! After movie frozen yogurt....
After our date we picked girls up, thanks Lynda for the extreme play date my girls had a blast! Next I had three clients, one unexpected overnight visit from a family friend, and to cap off a great day our friend Marie dropped off these cake pops! Thanks we loved them!

I love Easter Sunday church service, we try every year to return "home", to Bishop the little town where John and I grew up. My momma is the assistant pastor at our church in Bishop, I've been going there since I was born, there is a trail leading to the church from my folks house. We've been going to Juibillee an awesome, spirit filled church here in Camarillo, I finally feel at home. So back to yesterday morning, I was soo excited for service when John said,"hey it's our Sunday"! Which means it's our turn to do the child care!!!! I had to do some serious praying, we love the kids but dread it as well. Being a full time mommy I so look forward to getting to drop the kiddies off and sit for an hour of uninterrupted listening to great preaching! Oh well it was fine, we had the worship service, which I fully took in what I could!
Our dear friends host a big Easter bash every year at their home, if were not in Bishop we go there! Their family has become our family, I thank God for them.
Night before Easter the girls colored eggs at a friends house
Today Lil John and I are going on a "date" frozen yogurt/movie, he asked me if it could be just us two! Love that my 14yr old still want to spend time with his momma, getting choked up thinking he's going into high school next year!! Also only 4 more years in our household, I'm determined to make every day count.

“He is not here, but is risen!” (Luke 24:6)
Seems so far fetched to many that Jesus was raised from the dead! Deep within my spirit I know it's true, I believe that every human has the need to worship God, but many go here and there searching for God, when it's so easy he's always been right here, waiting, he said,"I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Rev.3:20. Have a blessed day of celebration!!!

Yesterday John and I, took the three girls to Malibu to ride our bike's. For Christmas I asked my in-laws for a bike rack that attaches to the back of my car, I'm so happy I did!
Malibu was glorious we rode along Zuma beach to the end, there we had a picnic, so fun. All of a sudden we hear a loud cry, we look to the ocean, a baby Grey Whale was jumping, so awesome!! I tried to capture a picture which was very hard, the momma and baby would only emerge for a second.

A house I love in Malibu

Going to Malibu

Hello this is going to be short. John and I are taking kids to Malibu to go bike riding, then picnic at the beach!! Should be fun, I'll post pictures tomorrow.
I follow a blog called Kell's Korner this week she asked how do you stay organized, my answer is it has to become a habit, like brushing your teeth! Thank God I do not struggle in this area, I can't think properly if my house is not in order!! So daily it's putting things back, I have a motto "everything has a place"! The kids love to paint, color, almost daily so I had to think of a good system where papers where not piling up!, So here it is, they have their own cupboard where they have all their supplies, paper, paint, crayons, markers.

The top of this plastic container is for Sadie's art/ bottom is for Chloe. Big kids have these in their closets filled all the way from Kindergarden, with special art they want to keep!

Sadie's 5th birthday!!

Five years ago John and I were living in Ventura Ca. lil John was 9, Sage was only 6. Life was good, Johns job was secure, kids were thriving, we owned a beautiful house. But deep inside both of us something was missing! We could sleep in when we wanted, family trips were easy with the kids getting older. I was working in a salon, my hours were around John and Sages school hours, I would go back in evenings when John got home from work. I started to say, "wow life is sooo easy, I feel like something is missing?" So I pressed in prayer asking God, "why am I feeling this feeling, I have everything I could ever want?" In my spirit I felt God giving me a desire to have another baby, although John and I totally thought two children were plenty, since we stared so young, but I couldn't shake the feeling. One night I mentioned it to John and to my surprise he said he felt the same way!! We started trying and within a month I was pregnant.....
Sadie's birth was so special, lil John and Sage were there to witness their sister coming into the world! Lil John cut the cord, with tears running down his face. Sage was in Love the moment she saw her baby sister. God is sooo good.
We rotate our kids birthday's one year a party, the next just presents, and dinner at home. Last year for her 4th we went all out, a huge bash at our house, swimming, pinata. So this year I asked her instead of a party what do you want? She wanted to go to the mall and pick out some outfits, Builda Bear, then a taco dinner and cake! It was a great day, she was so excited!
Sage, Hanna, Grace, and Birthday girl!
I have no idea where she get's "IT" from????

Her birthday wish list big sister helped her do! We are not an animal family, so no pet fish!!
